Microwaves destroy the nutrient content of your food.
Anytime you reheat food in the microwave, the structure of that food is being changed by the microwaves radiation. All the vitamins and minerals are destroyed, and your body is unable to recognise the new "food" that results. Broccoli, for example, has 97% of its nutrients destroyed when heated in a microwave. If breast milk is heated in a microwave, the essential disease-fighting agents and antibodies are annulled. This creates a nutrient deficiency and eventually weakens your body, making you more susceptible to sickness. Nutritious and healthy food is killed in the microwave.
Microwaves create carcinogens
Anytime meat, paper, dairy products or plastic are heated in a microwave, cancer-causing agents are formed. If you're reheating food in its packaging, a high number of toxic chemicals are being released into the food. Even if foods are thawed, not heated, in the microwave, harmful substances are being leeched into your dinner.
Microwaves expose you to radiation
Turns out my mum was right. Just standing in front of an operating microwave exposes you to the same amount of radiation as the food inside the microwave. You are essentially cooking yourself from the inside out. When exposed to radiation, our cells start to break apart and die.
Microwaves can make you fat
The more "dead" food we consume, the more our bodies cry out for nutrients. If you're constantly hungry, your body may be telling you that you need more nutrients. Every time you use a microwave, you're consuming calories, but not nourishing your body with the vitamins, enzymes and minerals it requires - so you'll feel hungry more often. Eating foods cooked in a regular oven or on the stove does not change the food structure, so will give your body the nutrients it needs.
Microwaves aren't tested
There has been no test on how microwaves affect our health in the long term. However, a study of people's blood before and after consuming microwaved food showed that after consuming "nuked" food products, white blood cells increased - which is the body's response to a harmful substance.
In the regular oven or on the stove! It takes a little longer, but soon you won't even think about using a microwave. And you'll be absorbing all the vital nutrients from your food, instead of eating a toxic "food-like" substance.
What about wheat bags?
Use a hot water bottle instead.
